Japan farewells Lao scholars, celebrates programme anniversary

Some 20 Lao students will start their advanced learning and research in Japan, supported by the Japan Human Resource Development Scholarships (JDS) and the Young Leaders Programme (YLP).
A reception for students and alumni of the JDS and YLP was held in Vientiane on Tuesday to mark both the departure of students to Japan, as well as the 20th anniversary of the JDS.
